Meeting Time

Beavers: Every Friday 5:15pm - 6:15pm

Cubs: Every Monday 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Scouts: Every Friday 7:00pm - 9:00pm

The group was first formed in the 1930’s and has been recognised by the Royal Navy (RN) since the 1960’s. We are 1 of 101 Sea Scout groups recognised by the Royal Navy out of 600 or so Sea Scout groups in the country. Once every 18 months a Lieutenant Commander comes to inspect the group, this ensures that our standards are maintained to the level the Royal Navy expect.

As we are SEA Scouts we are biased towards water activities as well as carrying out land activities. The following are some of the activities our group participates in:

  • Kayaking
  • Dinghy sailing
  • Power boating
  • Pulling
  • Swimming
  • Hiking
  • Camping
  • Educational trips & visits.
Being Royal Navy recognised we also have use of HMS Bristol based at Portsmouth.
